Workplace Wellbeing
90, 000 hours. That's how long you will spend in your career, which is approximately one third of your life. With the demands work places on us within those hours its no wonder why work plays a massive role on our wellbeing.
That's why I'm working with schools and businesses to make the workplace a great place to be.
Here's what I do:
My aim is for the workplace to BE A GREAT PLACE – staff feel valued, enjoy coming to work, bring their unique skills to life and connect to the business purpose.
I begin by GETTING AN UNDERSTANDING of your business and your employees and ask you two questions:
1. Tell me about your WORKPLACE NOW.
2. What does being a GREAT WORKPLACE look like for you?
Then I provide a TAILOR-MADE wellbeing experience for your workplace.
"To say our first session exceeded our expectations is an understatement."
"love working with you!"

Making your Workplace Great
Wellbeing Workshop - Saxony Construction, Barossa Valley, SA.

Delivered to a family-owned construction company, the business wanted to bring their values to life - which means they wanted to see them in action every day. It was important that each staff member (carpenters and apprentices) had 'buy-in' and explain what each value looked like for them. This wasn't just telling staff what to do, it was establishing every staff member's connection and ownership to the company's values. Together we developed behaviours (what each value looks like) and outcomes (benefits we get from the behaviours). In addition each employee walked away with a clear understanding of their own strengths as seen through the eyes of their colleagues - it was a feel good activity that is still talked about! The company now explains their values to new employees and contractors 'this is who we are and this is what we do'. They have even referred to their values and behaviours in times of challenge to help remind them what's really important to them.

Wellbeing Support - Catholic Education, SA.

Speaking to 150 Education staff, I shared wellbeing tips each person can use in their own lives. I talked about my life experience and how my own wellbeing strategies supported me in the most difficult time of my life, my wife's 12 year cancer journey prior to her death in 2023. I explained how life lessons, values, and daily intentions formed my approach to care for myself, my wife, and my children as best I could and this approach is still supporting me now. Based on a theme of joy, kindness, and love, I highlighted how important these values are to me, how I apply them every day, and how each person in the audience can adopt a similar approach. Perhaps the most important message was recognising where each person spends their energy caring for and serving others as opposed to looking after their own needs. Each staff member walked away with a simple method to prioritise their own needs, amongst the needs of others. The wellbeing strategies I discussed in the 30 minute presentation, are now adopted by my own clients, and are regarded as proven techniques that are simple to understand and easy to apply.
Wellbeing Consultancy - Underwood Building, Barossa Valley, SA

Family owned and operated by brothers Matt and Craig Underwood, and working with business manager Toni Martin, Underwood Building ensure the business continues to be an enjoyable place to be (for business owners, staff, subcontractors and clients). Additionally, there is a strong desire to continue to invest in staff wellbeing, and the business to achieve it's best. Establishing new communication and operational processes was required to support many of the competing priorities that comes with a building and joinery business. Whilst it appears that this approach is a back of house, business development role, the outcome for staff enabled them to establish consistent team meetings, new communication practices, manage a heavy workload, and establish a better work-life balance.
